Easy Fruit Cobbler

This scrumptious cobbler will be making them come back for more!

Cook Time: 35 minutes


1 cup sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 quart (2 1/2 pounds) your favorite canned fruit, such as apples, peaches, or blackberries

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar and flour. Still whisking, slowly add the milk until smooth. Add the vanilla and whisk to mix well. Stir in the melted butter.

Put the fruit and juices in a baking dish and spoon the batter over the fruit. Spread the batter over the fruit but do not stir. Bake for about 35 minutes or until the topping is lightly browned and cooked through and the fruit and its juices bubble around the edges of the dish.

Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving.
