I first made this recipe in the early 1980's, by chopping the fruit with a knife. It was delicious and simple then. Now, a food processor or chopper makes it even easier. I would suggest trying a taste of cinnamon or nutmeg with the recipe to improve the depth of the flavor. Also, blending it with Splenda would make a nearly calorie-free condiment!

This has been a long standing favorite in our family. I remember it having been there since I was a small child and I am now in my late 60's. There was 1 year that it was forgotten and canned was used. Believe me, the relish is now always there. We even like it at other times of the year too.

I used this as the base for Cranberry Mold and it was a huge success! Nice combination of tart and sweet flavors.

This is such a versatile relish... and so delish!

Great as is but add a few finely chopped walnuts and it is even tastier.
