I had tried a different version that did not use milk and this version is much better. I doubled the recipe and used 1 each hot and mild sausage, I added garlic powder and dried chives. They were the hit of the company Christmas party. Does anyone know if you can freeze the raw balls or do you need to cook them first?

I used Italian Hot Sausage, and the results were great. Everyone loved them and wanted the recipe. Take care not to overcook these appetizers as overcooking dries them out. This is a great appetizer any time of year.
